In response to the follow up questions raised by Paul , Hib and Steve in their attempts to help me further; what follows is a brief synopsis of what happened, what was done and the current status of the ss brakeline problem:
A.) The following brake upgrades were installed on my 2003 Coupe by the head C5 Tech at the dealership where I purchased the C5: PowerSlot Rotors, Hawk HPS pads, red Z06 calipers, one way bleeder screws, Goodridge stainless steel brakelines, Super Blue ATE DOT 4 non-synthetic brake fluid and multiple flushing out of original brake fluid followed by fully bleeding the brakes at least three times.
B.) After performing flawlessly for a little over 400 miles, the dashboard warning lights started flashing and the DIC scrolled "service ABS", "service traction control" and "service active handling". While at a red light about 8.0 miles from home.
C.) Drove C5 back to dealership and the same C5 Tech found the following three codes: C1225, C1226 and C1228. He changed both front wheel speed sensors (twice !!), changed both front brake wiring harnessess, installed new EBPCM and after each of these changes the same trouble codes and warnings would start after almost exactly 8.0 miles !! He then cut a piece of that heavy flexible plastic shielding that has a slit in it and placed it over the right front brake wiring harness & secured the ends with electrical tape, the harness was then secured inside the front suspension with plastic ties. As he needed to do some work on another C5, he asked me to drive my car for more than 8 miles and see if the warnings started up again. I drove the car for about 25 miles and came back real happy that there were no "service warnings". However, just to be sure he wanted to drive it on the usual route where it had always started having problems at 8.0 miles. He washed up and off we went, with the Tech driving. Sure as ****, at 8.0 miles the same three trouble codes started. So he called Chevrolet techical assisstance line and was told to remove the ss brakelines. He put four brand new stock brake lines on and there have been no further problems to date.
