"8 Cylinder Conditioning" was the equivalent of dealer prep, and is found on the tank stickers of cars that were ordered for company service and delivered directly to a GM facility instead of being delivered through a dealer. It was an accounting code that reimbursed the receiving GM location for doing the dealer prep on the car.
