Die Anlagen >89 sind nicht kompatibel! Allein das Auslesen läugt schon anders.

Na ich beantworte meine Frage mal selbst. Ein netter mensch im .com Forum hat mir die Codes gemailt. Vieleicht kann es ja noch jemand gebrauchen.

Hier nocheinmal für alle:

Diagnostic mode -8 is the most commonly used mode for
diagnosing the system.

The diagnostic mode is entered while pressing the EXT
TEMP button and then pressing and releasing the AUTO
FAN button. Once the diagnostic mode is enabled the
mode number may be changed by pressing the WARM
button.
The contents of the mode may be displayed by pressing
the COOL button. The mode number displayed is proceded
by a minus sign.

Mode #01 -Program Number
Mode #02 -In Vehicle Thermistor
Mode #03 -Ambient Correction
Mode #04 -Blower Number
Mode #05 -Outside Temp. Thermistor
Mode #06 -Feedback Pot position
Mode #07 -Calculated door position
Mode #08 -System Faults *******
Mode #09 -Ratiometric Feedback Position
Mode #10 -Full Hot Position
Mode #11 -Full Code Position
Mode #12 -Software Version Number

Diagnosis for this system is based on diagnostic codes
stored in the Heater and A/C Control Assembly. When a
code has been stored the EXT TEMP indicator will
flash.

To enter the Diagnostic Mode and read the code, press
and hold the EXT TEMP button while pressing and
releasing the AUTO button. A mode number will appear
in the display.

The diagnostic mode for system faults is Mode -08.
Advance the display to -08 by repeatedly pressing the
WARM button. The diagnostic code may now be displayed
by pressing the COOL button.

If a single code is stored, it will be listed in the
Symptoms Table. If more than one code is stored, the
number will represent the sum of the codes.

For instance code 11 is (01+02+08)=11
