Grand Sport - groovyjay - 16.01.2011 Hallo, I'm doing bit of research on the Grand Sport Corvettes, especially the replica cars made by different manufacturers like D&D, Sonny's, Mongoose, Echosierra and MAI. Do you guys know of how many Grand Sports replicas there are in Germany ( and if you know how many are in Belgium, Austria, Holland and Swiss etc) ? I'm currently putting together a 63 GS roadster myself and try to track down how many other Grand Sports there are in Europe. This car especially caught my attention: It's been seen in Germany in various events, so somebody must know something about it. It looks to be an very early D&D car, does anyone know what serial number? What kind of brakes and steering does it use? Here's my little project: I'm hoping to finish it for the next summer. I hope all my German brothers and sisters are doing fine and have a great year 2011! Jani from Finland. - Porter - 17.01.2011 The only one in D that I know who´s got a nearly-GS is the Member GSTom. ACP (Joerg, you´ve been there already) build one or two clones, afaik. Great Projekt, keep us posted , ................. - TommyW. - 17.01.2011 There was one exactly like on your pic, which belonged to the organisation team of the Idstein Corvette Meeting, which took part every year until 2003 I think. Sorry, I don´t remenber his name in the moment, but i´m shure there are some people who can remember. Rolf Gersch should do by example. Greets, Tommy grand sport - techdata1 - 19.01.2011 try this one currently on ebay motors USA, kind regards Kai https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-Corvette-Grand-Sport-All-Aluminum-377-Webers-/320644050789?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4aa7dfef65 |
