I have been joking with Yankeededandy for losing my ipod. I lost it in his driveway in Switzerland, just a few days into my trip. No music for rest of trip until Hamburg, but that is a different story. ......
I just finished working on the car and needed to take out the drivers seat. Well , you know what I found. Plus some euros. Put the trim back on , but still needs work.
Sun is out and took car to beach, High School cut out day at beach. Back home with trim on.

Ich habe mit Yankeededandy gescherzt verloren zu haben meinen ipod. Ich verlor es in seiner Einfahrt in der Schweiz, nur ein paar Tage in meiner Reise. Keine Musik für den Rest der Reise bis Hamburg, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte. ......
Ich habe gerade die Arbeit am Auto und musste so den Fahrersitz. Nun, wissen Sie, was ich gefunden habe. Plus einige Euro. Setzen Sie die Verkleidung wieder auf, muss aber noch Arbeit.
So ist aus und nahm Auto zum Strand, schneiden Abitur out Tag am Strand. Wieder zu Hause mit trimmen auf.

Rebuild Holley 4160 or Not - Jack Panzica - 03.05.2013
Als ich das Auto für eine lange Saison von Fahrzeugen sowohl in den USA und Europa bereiten der Motor war mein Fokus.
Das Auto hat 50,0000 Meilen auf Motor seit neu im Jahr 2010
New carb Holley 4160 legte in 2010 Korrigieren L-79 66 Roadster
Alle neuen Kabel, Stecker Timing Federn, Öl, (1200-1500 mp Qt.)
Auto begann zu 9-10 mpg im Winter bekommen, nachdem ich es zurück von Europa (Dec)
War immer 14-15 hallo 12 mpg Stadt
Setzen Sie in allen neuen Sachen aufgeführt und jetzt Auto läuft sehr gut.
5000 Gallonen von Gas hat es durchgestanden.
Ich habe auf dem carb gearbeitet und bin mit der Einstellung schwimmt vertraut
usw.
Sollte ich, nichts zu tun, als das Auto gut läuft
Sollte ich wieder aufzubauen carb mit allen neuen Teilen aus Holley mit Erfolg
Sollte ich wieder aufzubauen carb mit schrecklichen Folgen, schlechte Leistung und viel selbst Schuldzuweisungen
Soll ich den Vergaser zu (midyearvette) (US Forum Freund) und speichern Sie ein Vermögen in Gas, weil ich nicht fahren wird mein Auto, während er meine carb hat
Sollte ich fragen Dahogan Frank fragen, weil ich nicht gesagt haben, ihm von meinem Plan
Ich brauche, um Lars Papier zur Anpassung der Holley Hitzeschild, dass ich zu installieren, um zu verhindern Beschleuniger Pumpe kochen über wollen.
Was würden Sie tun?

ps hat die Dichtung direkt am Einlass dann Isolator Isolator oder die Dichtung - carb
As I prepare the car for a long season of driving both in the US and Europe the engine has been my focus.
The car has 50,0000 miles on engine since rebuild in 2010
New carb Holley 4160 put on in 2010 Correct L-79 66 Roadster
All new wires, timing springs, oil, (1,200-1,500 mp Qt.) plugs
Car began to get 9-10 mpg in winter after I got it back from Europe (Dec)
Was getting 14-15 hi 12 mpg town
Put in all new stuff as listed and now car runs great.
5,000 gallons of gas has gone through it.
I have worked on the carb before and am familiar with setting floats
etc.
Should I , do nothing as the car is running fine
Should I rebuild carb with all new parts from Holley with successful outcome
Should I rebuild carb with horrible results , poor performance and lots of self recriminations
Should I send the carb to midyearvett and save a fortune in gas because I will not be driving my car while he has my carb
Should I ask Dahogan to ask Frank , because I have not told him about my plan
I do need to get Lars paper on modifications to the Holley heat shield that I want to install to prevent accelerator pump boil over.
What would you do ?

ps does the gasket go directly on intake then insulator, or insulator the gasket - carb

Hi Jack,
I would try the heat-shield, cause it cant produce a new problem, just take it out if it dosnt work. And for the rest, dont change a running system!

I remember going out to the garage, gas fumes I woke up with gas and oil on my hands. What could have happen in 30 minutes ?
I took the car for a ride and was hungry
