Neue Z06 im Nurburgring? - AutobahnZ06GT - 23.04.2005 Has anyone seen or heard of the C6 Z06 is going to be there? It is supposed to be there for "Industry Days" "Industrie Tag". Do we have our forum spies ready to go to Nurburgring to get videos and pics? When is Industry Tag im Nurburgring? Ciao - Porter - 23.04.2005 Hi, the guys who could spie are probably at "the ring" this weekend, I don´t know. That´s why "nobody" else answers ... We are wondering if this car comes to Europe officially If not, what should "they" do on the Ring ? Hmmmm, that means YES !! Ciao, ... - Till - 23.04.2005 I'm not sure. Is "industry day" labour day? Then it would be may 1st. On may 1st the track is opened for tourist driving all day. Toyota sometimes uses the ring for track tests during tourist driving, most other manufacturers book the ring on weekdays for exclusive testing. Maybe that is what the "industry day" refers to - don't know. If the Z06 is there on may 1st, there will be tons of pictures. There are always dozens of photographers when the ring is opened for tourist driving. Till - Till - 23.04.2005 Zitat:Original von PorterIt wouldn't be the first car to be tested and fine tuned on the ring, but never sold in Germany. Till - CR555 - 23.04.2005 https://www.crossedflags.com/nuke/html/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=70&mode=&order=0&thold=0 Dave Hill: Zitat:With so much traffic on the Nurburgring (you might encounter everything from a GTI to an SLR in a typical lap) you can imagine how unpredictable a "clean lap" would be. The last time we ran for time was on the 2004 Z06, which recorded one lap of 7'56". The 2005 would not be quite as good. We will be there in April with a production built Z06, and hope to get a good time for that one. - woody 68 - 23.04.2005 Hallo, wer vor nicht sehr langer Zeit mal auf die US Seite von GM ging, konnte dort ebenfalls einen kleinen Vermerk neben der C5 Z06 entdecken auf dem stand "Nurburgring tested" ! Sagt also leider nicht viel über die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Exportabsicht. Gruß, Al - JR - 23.04.2005 "Industy day" means reservation of the "ring" for test purposes of the automotive industry. This is not a special date but recurs every week for two or three days. At these days course is closed for "tourist racers". Would be time-consuming business to have an eye on the course during these time-frames reserved for test purposes. Regards JR - Till - 23.04.2005 Sometimes there usually are some professional photographers during the week, hoping to catch something interesting during the track tests. The text by Dave Hill is a bit weird. Zitat:We run on the Nurburgring during Industry Days, which permit specially licensed development drivers from Industry to drive at speed on this fantastic facility. So "Industry Days" just refers to the days the ring is booked by companies to track testing. Or are those special days? Zitat:With so much traffic on the Nurburgring (you might encounter everything from a GTI to an SLR in a typical lap) you can imagine how unpredictable a "clean lap" would be.This sounds like tourist driving. Or are there special events where Mercedes, GM and VW test all at once? Till - AutobahnZ06GT - 23.04.2005 So if there is an industry day on May 1st, who is going? Who will be our inside spy so we can post on the internet? Dave Hill's remarks on the C5 Z06 testing at Nurburgring were pretty good. Hopefully we will get a time of about 7:35-7:45 minutes on the track. I know that because the HP to weight ratio is better than the Porsche GT2 than it should be really quick. How fast is the GT2 at the track? All I know is the excitment is killing me. Can't wait any longer to get one. Ciao They are flying next week to Nurburgring! - AutobahnZ06GT - 23.04.2005 Latest news from Dave Hill. They are getting ready to ship a C6 Z06 to Nurburgring next week. https://www.z06vette.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79834 No we need the spies there with the cameras. I might even go there. ciao |
